The country has faced severe droughts in recent months, leading to widespread food insecurity. This has had a direct impact on the school’s ability to provide balanced meals for our students. Additionally, food prices have doubled, and we expect this trend to continue until the next harvest season in June. Although we had initially stockpiled food from the previous harvest, our reserves have been depleted.

To address this challenge, we have invited our guardians and well-wishers to collaborate on finding ways to meet the nutritional needs of our students. Additionally, we have rented five acres of land where we have planted maize, cassava, and red beans. Furthermore, we have rented another four-acre plot to cultivate rice. The recent rains have brought hope, and we are optimistic that the upcoming harvest will provide sufficient food for the students and allow us to sell any surplus to support other school needs
