The prime objective of our charitable work is to support the education, welfare and development of the orphaned children of Busiiro Village. With the continued support from our donors we ensure the running costs of the orphanage are covered. In addition we work on a number of projects that are supported by appeals throughout the year.

Poultry Project,

At Healing Focus Orphanage Centre, we believe in teaching children to build their future. Through our new Poultry Project, the children learn valuable farming skills while helping to sustain the orphanage. The poultry house currently holds 200 chickens, but we aim to expand to over 1,000 birds to provide steady income and food security.

Cow Dairy Project

Our cow project has proven to be a valuable source of income and nutrition for the school. The daily sale of milk generates revenue, and the milk is also used to enhance the nutritional value of the porridge we serve our students. At present, three of our cows are pregnant, and we expect their births later this year, which will increase milk production.

Food Security: A Core Mission of Healing Focus Orphanage Centre

The country has faced severe droughts in recent months, leading to widespread food insecurity. This has had a direct impact on the school’s ability to provide balanced meals for our students. Additionally, food prices have doubled, and we expect this trend to continue until the next harvest season in June. Although we had initially stockpiled food from the previous harvest, our reserves have been depleted.

In the rural Busiiro community, young girls face significant challenges as they reach puberty, particularly regarding menstrual hygiene. Limited education, stigma, and poor access to sanitary products force many girls to miss school, impacting their education.

Empowering Children through Education for a Brighter Future
In 2014, Healing Focus Orphanage Centre established Healing Children Primary Schoolwith the mission to provide quality, accessible education to vulnerable children in Uganda. Fully registered with the Government of Uganda (Registration No. 2), the school currently serves 250 students, both boys and girls, offering them an opportunity to thrive academically.
